Hi Folks,

After working day and night for several weeks, atlast, UrduMaza.com have launched Pakistan’s most reliable sms server. Dozen of new functionalities are added to previous too-simple and too-unreliable sms server. The most amazing thing of this system is ‘SMS STATUS TRACKING’ if your sms is not delivered / or still pending, the status of your sms will be visible to sender all the time ( registration required )

You can send sms without registration as well, but if you didn’t register, you wouldn’t enjoy, 2-way sms, phonebook, sms history , group sms and status of your sent sms. Surprisingly, UrduMaza.com has offered this system absolutely free of cost ( unlike some other parties which are charging money for 2-way sms and etc ). We are trying to provide the very best option to pakistanis living abroad and staying in touch with their love ones in Pakistan. So instead of sending a 5-rupee sms , and you don’t have computer to send a reply, you can say him/her whatever you want through your mobile phone.

Some very important feature of new free sms system

Phonebook – Add unlimited contact numbers of your friends for life time

SMS history – View every sms you ever sent.

2-Way SMS – Now your friends can send you reply as well.

Real Time Tracking – Each and every sms you send , you will be able to track it.

Groups – You can add groups and arrange contacts in group. You can send sms to any group as well ( coming soon )

Send sms to your saved contacts , no need to type their number again and again !

Send longer SMS , 200+ characters allowed, while Here you can send only 120 Characters.

How to receiver 2-way sms ?

You sent a message to mobile phone say 0300xxxxxxxx

He/she got message and pressed REPLY button

He/she must now follow this format (your-nick) (space) (His/her reply message)

Now, visit inbox page to view their messages.

This system is in test phase, and it will take atleast 1 week till fully tested and then at the start of next week, update , 100% error free system with group sms and template based messages. Now sending messages to pakistani mobile phones are even more easier, but at the same time, you can get reply back without any cost ( domestic sms are almost free in Pakistan and receiver will reply to our dedicated zong numbers ). Currently you can send and receive sms to every Mobilink , Jazz, Ufone, Telenor , Zong and Warid Mobile phones.

Cellphone operators have finally decided to approach the finance ministry to seek withdrawal of the recently imposed 20 paisa tax per SMS, which will hinder growth of the industry.

It is learnt that cellular phone operators have started evolving a strategy and are preparing to make a presentation to the finance ministry in this regard. Before going to the ministry, top officials of cellular phone companies will separately meet with each other in a couple of days to make their case strong. Officers of one of the operators are also considering to approach the Competition Commission, as, according to them, the government has offered extra support to one of the companies at the cost of the whole industry.

The government, in the federal budget for 2009-10, has levied 20 paisa tax per SMS, which is in addition to the rate specified for the telecommunication sector. At present, all mobile phone companies except one are offering bulk SMS packages, which are seen greatly favourable for consumers. However, the new levy will reduce revenues of operators, and rates charging process will also become complex as most of the operators are offering unlimited SMS at a fixed rate.

According to data collected from the industry, out of 90 million registered cellular phone customers, over 45 million use the SMS service, each sending an average of seven SMS daily. Daily SMS traffic in the country is estimated at around 315 million and monthly traffic at around one billion.

The Pakistani market is very responsive to SMS-based packages. There has been tremendous growth in SMS usage, estimated at 30 per cent in recent years.

We are already late as 3G has been introduced in the rest of the world, including a few of our neighbours including India. How can we look forward to 3G services in Pakistan when the basic data service “SMS” is being taxed more than its cost? Government should have discussed such a decision with PTA before announcing it in the Budget 2009. PTA should take a strong stand on this motion as this will hinder growth in the Telecom industry of Pakistan.

Are they sleeping dormant ?

In times when Mobilink , Ufone , Telenor and Zong ( so boring ) advertising are showing on all channels, we don’t see Warid anywhere, If warid guys don’t have money to run and show on tv, i will suggest to learn from zong, hire some 3rd class models and directors and start advertising, they can atleast compete zong for boring media publications.

Worse TV advertisements by Mobile Companies Telenor, Zong Ufone and Mobilink

In 21st century, when unique ideas are making video commercial very attractive and enjoyable, at the same time, at different Pakistanis channels, the 2nd-grade video commercials from mobile companies especially from Zong and telenor are really disappointing.

Top most Stupid Mobile Commercial by Telenor

Well, at number one is commercial by telenor for family number package. In this commercial, the scene starts from two young guys, one of them ask other, have you added me in your family number list ? an then at the very next second , he start fighting ! , Common, who is the genious director of such a flop acted TV commercial ? and by the way, this commercial is still on air , oh my God !

2nd Top Most unbearable TV commercial by Zong

Zong is very famous for its really 3rd class video commercial, especial this one , “3 rupees main milta hi kia tha, laikin ab milta hai , 3 rupes main 3 words” , Well, why did you choose this guy to be your model ?? and then there should be something attractive for viewers to enjoy rather than you want us to wait untill the commercial ends.

TV commercial especially video must be attractive and fun, like other TV channel shows commercial on their TV, I mean their commercial are a fun as well, but here, we swich channels once boring advertisement starts.

Ufone and Mobilink advertisements are bit OK, but i really wanted to mentions these 2 advertisements because it create headache whenever show up on TV
