Malay teen raped by Pakistani stepfather sends SMS to prosecutor in court

A teenager in Malaysia, who was raped by her Pakistani stepfather when she was 15, is said to have sent an SMS to the prosecutor in court to tell him she remained traumatised by the incident.

5 hurt in Lahore blasts

LAHORE: Five people wounded in minor blasts occurred in Ghari Shahu and Begum Kot areas of Lahore on Saturday. According to rescue sources, first explosion occurred at a net café in Ghari Shahu in which three persons sustained injuries. Police and rescue teams reached at the site of blast and shifted injured to Ganga Ram Hospital. The blast shattered the windowpanes of net café and nearby buildings. Another blast happened after few minutes in a net café in Begum Kot area in Shahdra. Two people injured in the incident rushed to Meo Hospital. Tahreek-e- Tahfuz Pakistan has claimed the responsibility of the blasts. Media persons got the SMS prior to the blasts intimating about the blasts. Security put on high alert in the city after the blasts.

Serial blasts hit Lahore

LAHORE: Two simultaneous blasts occurred in Lahore on Saturday, Geo News reported. According to initial reports, three persons sustained injuries in a blast occurred in a net café in Ghari Shahu. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Another explosion happened near juice corner in Begum Kot area. Prior to blasts, journalists received SMS threatening three blasts will occurr in different areas of Lahore today. A previously unknown organization Tahreek-e-Tahfuz Pakistan has claimed responsibility of the blasts.

First Matric paper cancelled on leak-out

KARACHI: The Controller of Examinations cancelled today’s Islamiat paper of matriculation examinations being held under Karachi Matric Board, as the paper was leaked out, Geo News reported Saturday. According to Examinations Controller, he was informed that Islamiat paper in Matric (science group) was let out through SMS, on this he took action and cancelled the paper. The new date for today’s cancelled paper would be announced later. It should be mentioned that today was the first paper of the Matriculation exams being taken by the 150,000 students; however, the paper was cancelled ten minutes before it started.
