Court reserves verdict on DeHaven release plea

PESHAWAR: Local court in Peshawar has reserved its order till March 7 over release of US citizen Aaron Mark DeHaven on bail. Additional session judge Altaf ur Rehman on Friday heard the plea seeking release of Deheaven on bail. US citizen’s counsel Ali Raza told the court that DeHaven migrated to Pakistan on working visa. He told that his client’s visa was applied for extension as it had been expired in October 2010, adding that he could not be arrested under 14 foreign act. He also said that earlier, foreign ministry had dismissed his applications two times. Later, court reserved verdict till March 7 after hearing.
