Dream came true, Pakistan reached into the final of t20 worldcup
Congratulations to every pakistani , We are into the final of t20 worldcup again, In first semi final pakistan beat un-beaten south africa by 7 runs, what a performance by sleeping volcano , Shahid Afridi. We had told in previous
post that shahid afridi is playing really sensibly, First 29, then 21 and now 51 these are the last 3 innings of shahid afridi in t20 worldcup and before that he was out on ducks and playing first shot with eyes closed.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, Though Shahzaib was out in the very second ball of 2nd over but after him Shahid afridi came and he played a stunning inning, Kamran looked destructive he hit 4 fours in first two overs and he was looking too dangerious.
After both the openers gone, Shahid and malik played really well and they made 68 in 10 overs and pakistan made 100 runs in 13.1 overs. After shahid afridi and malik were out, Younis and abdul razzaq tried their best to play long shots, but South Africa bowling was awsome and they restricted pakistan to 149, well we were 15-20 runs short of the total we thought would be safe.
Anyways, Due to shahid afridi stunning over and 2 wicked of Gibss and Ab.Devliers , we were back on the track and then Saeed ajmal and afridi restricted south african opener Kallis to play freely, and which made run-rate required jumped to 11.40 in 15th over, It started to look impossible for South Africa.
Pakistan made following mistakes today as well,
- Omer gul again dropped the catch.
- We were 10-15 runs short
- Fielding was poor but better than previous encounters
Positives
- Afridi he was awsome in batting and especially bowling
- Omer gul, what a bowler he has become.
- saeed ajmal , we told you, we had top 3 bowlers of the T20 in our side.
- captain looked aggressive whenever his players made mistakes
- Positive expression to S.A bowler Kallis by a kiss from AFridi ( it was amazing gesture to see
)
Anyways , congratulations to every pakistani and pray that we bring this BOB WOOLMER TROPHY to Pakistan this year, we have dedicated this trophy to our late coach !
