Chances of Pakistan in the semi final of ICC T20 Worldcup 2009

First semi final will be played on tonight between pakistan and south africa, and its not gonna be easy one. South africa have been unbeaten in this tournament and they have beaten pakistan quite convincely in WARM UP game. But pakistan has very strong chances of winning this semifinal, why ?

• 5 most successful bowlers of this tournament include 3 pakistani bowlers, Omer gul, Saeed ajmal, Shahid Afridi
• Abdur Razzaq is back so no need to try injured bowler like sohail tanvir and Razzaq will add extra strength to our middle order batting.
• There is no-more sloppy  Salman butt as opener , Shahzaib is great T20 player, he showed that he can hit in the air during first 6 overs.
• Afridi has started to play more responsibly , he made 29 and 21 in last 2 innings, if he made 30 runs in semi final it would be more than we want from him as a batsman.
• Omer gul and saeed ajmal are quiet amazing bowlers, saeed ajmal needs to look into fielding as well. But if we talk about his bowling , he is quite a find for pakistani team.
• Younis khan believes on partner ships and he has made clear to every one including shahid afridi to play for partner ships.

So we know south africa is a tough team, but we do know pakistan is no1 ranked team in t20 format and they can easily beat south africa in semi finals. The only thing which need to do right is , field right and avoid any run out.  Shoaib malik and misbah owe us a big performance, especially misbah , he didn’t show his real face in this tournament. So we hope that team will perform better and every player will realize that they have dedicated this tournament to their dead coach BOB Woolmer, so play good for his soul and bring this worldcup to home this year.

Pakistan win or lose, one thing the luck is in their side, they have been on the edge of loosing this cup twice but they finally made it to the semi finals. So good luck to our team ! and may God bless Bob Woolmer, he was a great guy for sure ! ,

South africa made just 130 against india in their last match, so we must not forget that no one remains unbeaten for ever, may be today is the last day of south africa in the tournament.
